Meet the Team

I’ve always had a love for property and technology, even from a young age. I went on to study Digital Media at university, graduating with a BSc (Hons), but it didn’t take long for me to realise that property was where my real passion was. After graduating in 2015, I joined my dad, Dean, and together we set out to grow a property management business built on care, trust, and doing things the right way. With 25 combined years in the industry our experience and knowledge is our biggest asset.

With my background in computing I bring a creative and modern mindset to the business. I genuinely enjoy finding new ways to streamline processes, improve systems, and use technology to make property management simpler and more efficient for our clients. I’m also a professional landlord myself, which means I truly understand the challenges and rewards that come with property ownership. I love seeing the potential in a property and turning it into a welcoming home, whether that’s for my own projects or for someone else’s investment. I strongly believe that property doesn’t have to be complicated; with good planning and the right decisions, it can be an enjoyable and rewarding journey. One of the things I value most is being able to help people manage, refurbish, and prepare their properties for rental with confidence. Everything I do from an email to a new project my heart and passion shines through.

Outside of work my dogs are a huge part of my life, and anyone who knows me will tell you they’re never far from my side. You’ll often find one curled up on my lap while I’m working—or hear a little bark in the background if the postman dares to knock! When I get some free time, I’m usually spending time with them, enjoying family life with my partner, supporting my mum competing with her dogs and horse’s or heading off on an adventure with my sister and nephew. While work and family are my biggest passions, I do love the occasional relaxing holiday in the sunshine too, somewhere I can go scuba diving or snorkelling.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a keen eye for property. I began my career as a Factory Manager, overseeing large-scale projects all over the world and leading sizeable teams of people, experience that taught me discipline, organisation, and the value of strong leadership. Property has always been a passion of mine. From a young age, I enjoyed decorating and improving homes and that naturally led me to becoming a professional landlord. I always had the ambition to run my own business, but with a stable job and two daughters to bring up, providing security for them was my priority — so that dream had to wait. Once my daughters were grown up, I decided it was time to take the leap. By combining my business managerial qualifications with my genuine love of property Merriebank became my life. I work with a people-first philosophy, focusing on making every step of the process as smooth and stress-free as possible for those I work with.

I’m a naturally confident person and I have a strong understanding of the property market and I’m always learning, evolving, and pushing to make sure Merriebank stays ahead of the curve. Providing personal Customer service, Meeting people and talking about property is what I do best.

Outside of Work I’m very much a family man. My family means everything to me, especially my grandson, who may one day be part of the family business if he wants to be. Photography is also a hobby of mine, especially night-time photography, which I enjoy for the challenge. When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me at the pool or snooker table, or supporting Newcastle United through all the highs and lows.

Stacey has always been great with people, having spent most of her career in customer service and administrative roles. She joined Merriebank in 2023 and quickly became part of the family, thanks to her caring yet professional approach.

A confident and detailed individual, Stacey is one of the main processor who ensures every “t” is crossed and every “i” is dotted – a huge asset to Merriebank. She works closely with landlords to find the right tenant, handling all the necessary paperwork, managing the full referencing process, and recommending the best fit for both landlords and prospective tenants. Stacey consistently goes above and beyond to ensure everyone has a positive renting experience. With experience across many roles at Merriebank, Stacey has developed a strong understanding of property management and tackles every task with enthusiasm. She’s a natural talker who loves meeting and connecting with people every day.

Outside of work, Stacey enjoys snuggling up with a blanket and her dogs, indulging in a relaxing day trip to the spa, unwinding with a good book, and spending quality time with friends, family, and her grandchildren. Most importantly, she loves making the most of a well-deserved holiday with her husband.  .

Jane was born and raised in Cowes on the Isle of Wight. She has worked in Customer service for 35 years and Over the past two years, Jane has been part of the Merriebank team. Married to Dean, she was introduced to the world of property and Merriebank from the very start of their relationship, often helping out with viewings on a voluntary basis. It was during this time that she knew she wanted to become part of Merriebank and learn more about property.

Jane is often the friendly face or voice you’ll meet first at Merriebank, whether you’re visiting the office or calling in for a chat. She’s always keen to grow her property knowledge and has become a valued member of the team. What she loves most is the social side of the job – meeting new people, going out on viewings, and handing over the keys to new tenants.

Outside of work family and friends are incredibly important to Jane, and she loves nothing more than spending a day out with them. She also enjoys exploring new places and indulging in a good shopping trip. When she can get Dean’s attention, they love going on sightseeing holidays together.
